Richard is one of the leading UK cellists with an extensive solo career following his long time leadership of the CBSO Cello section.

We are celebrating this year
The Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1974 by a small group of players by a local conductor called Ken Cox.
Ken took the fledgling orchestra on its first steps but moved away from the area after 3 years in charge
Chris Eldrige then conducted the orchestra for the next 20 years helping to establish it close to what you see today
We are still thriving in our 50th year with over 55 amateur musicians involved and giving three large symphony concerts each year
